Sumangali Prathanai

Today my grand parents and parents organised 'Sumangali Prathani' event on account of my chitappa's marriage which is just a month's time away. They had invited 4 paati's - (Paapa, Bhagyam, Prabha and Chandra) for this event and I was nominated as a 'Kanya Ponnu' for the same.

Myself, amma and appa woke up early by 5:00 AM itself and then moved from velecherry to tambaram and reached their @ around 6:00 AM. As soon as we reached, amma decorated the house entrance with beautiful rangoli's. ofcourse it was very beautiful and everybody praised her. Later I took oil bath ,got ready and was all set by wearing new dress gifted by amma's friend - Saritha Aunty.

Since I woke up too early, and it was getting delayed as other paati's were getting ready for the event, I thought let me have a nap, and then join back later. So had a good nap. Later I woke up @ around 10:30 AM, just then the event had started. Amma was busy in distributing 'vethalai pakku' and serving the Lunch for those who have come. Finally the event went on well with a nice Lunch too.
@ around 1:00 PM we started back to Velecherry along with dorai thatha and bhagyam paati as amma and appa had to rush to their offices. First half of the day went on very well, later half spent time with my granny's. On the whole it was a nice day.

VaraLakshmi Nombhu

This time Varalakshmi Nombhu was on August 12th 2011, next day of my mom's birthday. Myself, mom and dad woke up early compared to the usual timing.
Took bath and dressed up with the new dress which amma bought it for me. Since appa had office, he left in the afternoon. Me, mom and Saroja paati did pooja and had a nice lunch and slept for a while.
In the Evening we woke up and dressed up and planned to invite our neighbours for vethala pakku.

After visiting the neighbours, we reached back home, spend quality time and finished our dinner.

Saranya Chitti Marriage

     Saranya chitti's marriage was on July 9th and 10th in Coimbatore. But we went on July 8th, Friday itself. On July 8th, myself mom and dad all woke up early by 4:00 AM in the morning, got ready and was waiting for Ramesh Chittapa and Saroja Paati. They came around 5:15, later chittappa dropped all of us in Central station to abroad the train destined to Coimbatore.
I had a nice time in the train, but sometimes I was bit cranky and slept for a while only and most of the time, I was troubling mom and dad :-) to take me for a walk in the train. At last we reached Coimbatore Junction @ around 1:45. Hari Mama was in the station to pick us up. We reached home @ around 3:00. Then Amma fed me Lunch and I slept for a while. Actually that day happens to be Priya perima's birthday, we all had surprise Cake cutting organised by Hari mama. It was very nice party.
Next day i.e., on July 9th Saturday we left to Kalyana Mandapam @ around 7:30 in the morning. In the Mandapam after finishing the breakfast, I started playing with Harini (Geetha's chitti's daughter).

 Later after playing with Harini for a while. I finished my lunch and slept nicely till evening. Then in the evening, I got ready. You know what I wore? I dressed with Ghagra Choli for the reception with all matching accessories. Thanks ma for such a nice dress. I Love you! I Love you!

After the reception, we finished the dinner in mandapam and then came back home to take rest in the night. As the muhurtham was early, we all wanted to wake up early. All of us got ready and reached mandapam @ around 6:30 AM in the morning , but since I played nicely and roamed around in the mandapam previous day, I was damn tired so I slept nicely and woke up after Muhurtham only.  Later dressed up to  visit the relative's house there.

Later in the evening after nalangu, we finished our dinner and started @around 8:00 PM in the evening to the Coimbatore junction to aboard train to Chennai. We boarded @ around 10:10 and reached next day morning @ around 5:30 in the morning.
So this trip was enjoying and memorable too.

Casual Shopping

It was July 3rd,2011 (Sunday), Amma and myself was getting bored so we planned for a shopping to Mambalam. Amma finished her day-to-day activities and myself and dad got ready to step out for a outing. I wore a new dress gifted by Swetha Aunty ( amma's caloft colleague) for the shopping. Amma clicked few photos to share it with Swetha Aunty.

Chitappa Engagement

      A Big day! You know what's special today, It's my chittappa's engagement. June 5th,2011 (Sunday) was bright sunny morning, entire house was colorful with many relatives pouring in for the big occasion planned in the same evening.
All of us had nice lunch prepared by amma and paati @ around 1:00 PM. As it was sunday and between 1:30 to 3:00 it was yamagandam and between 4:30 to 6:00 it was rahukalam, all planned to go to Mandapam between 3:00 and 4:00 as we go to receive 'Lavanya' Chitti and her relatives.


Note: The mandapam is same one where seemandam was done for mom when I was there in her stomach. So now I can feel glimse of the same :-)


We all reached Mandapam @ around 3:30. Around 3:45 most of the relatives started pouring in, including Lavanya chitti and her relatives too. I was bit cranky without a proper sleep. Thought sleeping for a while would keep me afresh during the function. So I slept for a while along with appa and got ready for the function @ 6:00 PM.

                                Function went on very well with the grand dinner and hosting. All relatives were happy for being well treated and looking forward for the wedding on Nov 16th, 2011 in Salem.

Today I have completed 1 year. Last year I was just born but today I year old. Days run so fast than we think of.
Dad and mom planned for a Cake cuttting in the evening inviting dad's and mom's friends and ofcourse neighbours too.
Unfortunately dad was not well, he was suffering from viral fever since the previous day, but was quite better today.
Mom ,dad and chittappa started decorting the house with Balloons for the evening function, while I was resting after a oil bath :-).

Dad had ordered a big chocalate cake along with other snacks like dry Jamoon, Samosa. It was around 5:30, all dad friends started pouring into the house. We planned to do the cake cutting @ 6:00

So I woke up @ around 3:30 and finished my lunch, and inspected the house if it is decorated properly :-) Later                          @ around 5:30 I dressed up with my new birthday dress and was waiting for the invitees along with appa, amma and chittappa.

After the cake cutting, all the invitees gifted me birthday gifts, most of the gifts were teddy bear's. All of them were so cute. Thanks for everybody.
Later after cake cutting it was followed by snacks distribution. All of us had a very good time that evening.    

Ayush Homam Function

Big day arrived, all were gathered to bless me in this special occasion. I woke up bit early than usual and mom gave me a oil bath. Later dressed up with new pattu pavadai along with the matching accessories specially bought for this occasion. Ganapathy and Navagraha homam was organised @ home. Many relatives, friends and neighbours poured in to grace this occasion and bless me.

Function on very well as organised ofcourse with a good breakfast and Lunch. Same day evening Myself , amma and appa went to Lakshmi Narasimhan temple nearby for the archanai. We did so.
