Sumangali Prathanai

Today my grand parents and parents organised 'Sumangali Prathani' event on account of my chitappa's marriage which is just a month's time away. They had invited 4 paati's - (Paapa, Bhagyam, Prabha and Chandra) for this event and I was nominated as a 'Kanya Ponnu' for the same.

Myself, amma and appa woke up early by 5:00 AM itself and then moved from velecherry to tambaram and reached their @ around 6:00 AM. As soon as we reached, amma decorated the house entrance with beautiful rangoli's. ofcourse it was very beautiful and everybody praised her. Later I took oil bath ,got ready and was all set by wearing new dress gifted by amma's friend - Saritha Aunty.

Since I woke up too early, and it was getting delayed as other paati's were getting ready for the event, I thought let me have a nap, and then join back later. So had a good nap. Later I woke up @ around 10:30 AM, just then the event had started. Amma was busy in distributing 'vethalai pakku' and serving the Lunch for those who have come. Finally the event went on well with a nice Lunch too.
@ around 1:00 PM we started back to Velecherry along with dorai thatha and bhagyam paati as amma and appa had to rush to their offices. First half of the day went on very well, later half spent time with my granny's. On the whole it was a nice day.
